That's easy! Search Engine Commando features advanced traffic shaping technology (called bandwidth management in the program) similar to that found in high-end routers and servers. You can use it to set a cap on the amount of bandwidth that the program will consume, making it easy to share your internet connection with others.

To enable bandwidth management, click the Program Options folder in the Preferences area of the Shortcut Bar, then click the General tab. Enable the checkbox labeled Limit Bandwidth and enter a number in the KBps field. You may need to consult with your network administrator to determine the appropriate number. If your network has a high-speed T1 or DSL connection to the internet, try a value in the range of 128-512.
