Internet Update uses regular port 80 HTTP to download software updates. In most cases, no special configuration of proxy servers or firewalls is necessary. However, if your PC is behind a proxy server, you must enable proxy support in Search Engine Commando. To do that, click the Program Options icon in the Preferences folder of the shortcut bar, then click on the tab labeled Proxy Server.

If you're running Microsoft ISA (formerly known as Microsoft Proxy Server) on your network, disable proxy support in Search Engine Commando and make sure that you're running the Microsoft Proxy Client at your PC's startup.

If you have verified that the latest version of Search Engine Commando is installed on your PC and continue to experience connection problems, the most likely cause is a temporary internet connectivity failure. Try re-running the Internet Update process several times in succession. We maintain several update servers in different geographic locations that Search Engine Commando can randomly select.
